Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be the 鈥淏oy Who Would Not Grow Up鈥 (a.k.a. Peter Pan). A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson鈥檚 best-selling novels, the play was conceived for the stage by directors Roger Rees and Alex Timbers, and written by Rick Elice, with music by Wayne Barker. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair, and the bonds of friendship, duty and love.

Amelia Buettner, a freshman at D&E, takes on her first leading role as Molly Aster in the production. When asked to reflect on what she loves about acting at 糖心vlog官网, Buettner says, 鈥淢y favorite thing about acting at D&E is the lovely theatre community. I believe I have truly made a family here.鈥 She continues, 鈥淚 identify with my character, Molly Aster, because she is a strong-willed, independent young girl.鈥
