On Tuesday, September 24, 2024 ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø students, faculty and staff gathered to celebrate diversity and embrace the rich tapestry of 45 cultures represented on campus.
The International Flag Raising Ceremony is a symbolic gesture that shares the unity and strength which comes from our global community. The flags of each country individually processed up the hill as the corresponding national anthem rang out over campus. “The International Flag Raising Ceremony at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø celebrates the diverse cultural backgrounds of the college’s international students. The event, which features students raising the flags of their home countries, serves as a powerful symbol of unity and global connection. It highlights the college’s commitment to inclusivity, fosters cultural understanding, and brings the community together to honor the contributions of international students. The ceremony has a lasting impact, promoting awareness and appreciation of different cultures while enriching both the campus and the surrounding community.” said Jacques Guillembet, Director of International Students Services.
